Try Out date for 20hr M to M Challenge released

Western Lakes CC and MTS will run a “Try Out” day for participants who want to make the M to M squad that will aim to beat the Blazing saddles record from Mizen to Malin.
The Try out are an essential part of the initial training process for getting people fit for doing the challenge, its also an opportunity to get to know your fellow team mates and to train properly for the challenge as all participants will get a detailed training plan for the event.

To be part of the squad you must attend the January 11 “Try Out”.

Sign on from 9am at the Western Lakes Cycling Centre on the Kilmaine Rd Ballinrobe Co Mayo.
The spin will leave at 10.30am sharp for an 80 mile guided spin, which will have a back up van with spares.
To qualify for the next phase, participants will have to be able to complete 80 miles in 4hrs as part of a sizable group, leaders will control the pace and aim to help participants in their conquest.

• March 2 day camp, aim “ getting used to riding at night”

• June Wicklow 200
• Late June early July 20hr bid on the Mizen to Malin route, (weather depending)
