The 1st of two winter training sessions will take place on Mon 8th
Dec at The West County Hotel from 7.30 to 10.00 (upstairs in the Phoenix
room). Another will follow on in late January/ Early February.
This course is in conduction with the Track Commission and is Open to
all Senior and Veteran riders who must be members of Cycling Ireland.
This is a Track Specific training session, however some aspects will
cover all competitive cycling
This primary session will cover:
Stretches for cyclists to keep supple and injury free.
Core Strength exercises for power and stability.
Resistance Training for non Gym members.
Early winter Gym program for experienced weight lifters.
Specific training for older riders.
This is a training session so involvement will be required.
Please dress in clothes and shoes suitable for unrestricted exercise.
You will need to bring an exercise/yoga mat and an exercise ball in
order to take part.
If you don't have an exercise ball they can be bought for about EUR10.
Size 65cm. Blow it up before you come.
As this is a training evening don't forget to bring some nutrition
for during and post exercise.
Cost will be EUR10. Please book in advance as numbers are limited.
