This weekend sees Ras Connachta returning to Westport. Race organiser Joe Maguire is expecting a big field which will include Irish Junior and U-23 development squads. Local interest will be fixed on Mayo Wheelers junior Charles Prendergast who has finished his Leaving Certificate exams and is rearing to go.

Race HQ is the Clew Bay Hotel.

Stage 1 is 60 miles on the Louisbourgh, Aisleigh Falls, Aghagower circuit. Sign on opens at 10.30 with race start at 12 sharp.

Stage 2, 4.5 mile TT starting at Digger Jays on the Ballinrobe road at 6pm.

Stage 3 covers 75 miles taking in Leenaun, Maam, Maamcross, Recess, Leenaun and back to Finish in Westport. Sign on opens at 10.30 with race start at 12 sharp.
