On Saturday the 3rd of April there will be a charity cycle in aid of Galway Hospice commencing at 11:00 am. Participants will have two options an 80km and 120km cycle they’re will be a stop at Peacockes Hotel for refreshments, from there the cyclists will have the option of heading back to Oughterard or turning right for the 120km route. Registration will start at 10:00 am and cost 30 euro.this charity cycle takes in the whole route of the two days racing that will follow on the 4th and 5th.

The Organizers of Ras Chonamara under license from Galway Bay cycling club are delighted to announce the details of the 6th annual Ras for the Gerry Clancy memorial cup. We have been fortunate enough to secure the prime date of the Easter bank holiday weekend to host this event. The Ras 2 day is a pre register race to register for the race go to www.raschonamara.ie and click on the registration form.

 Ras Chonamara is open to the following cats A2 A3 A4, vets Juniors ladies Sign on will be in the Chonamara gateway hotel just outside Oughterard village. The overall winner will receive the Gerry Clancy Memorial cup. there will also be koh and sprint prime prizes on offer over the two days. Sunday 4th April 80km RR 1pm start
Oughtarard-maam-lenaun-inagh valley-recess-oughtarard.

Stage 2A 
Monday the 4th of April we will have a 10 km time trial in the morning at 10:00 am commencing at St Pauls Secondary School
Oughtarard-gleann-oughtaard

Stage 2B
Monday 4th april 80km RR finishing with three laps of the tt circut. starting at 1pm
Oughtarard-maam cross-screeb-seanafeistin-oughtarard

Sign on for all events will take place at the Connemara Gateway Hotel.
