Mayo Youth Tour Returns To Kiltimagh

Kiltimagh has again been chosen as host town for the Mayo Youth Tour, which takes place from Saturday, July 31 to Monday, August 2, 2010.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Youth Tour will again feature four stages of racing - three massed starts and one time trial. All stages will start and finish in Kiltimagh in east Mayo.

Race director Martin McNally says: “We aim to make the Mayo Youth Tour even bigger and better this year. Some of the stages will be longer, and there will be more hills. We also plan to introduce competitions for Points, King of the Hills and Best Young Rider, in addition to the General Classification and Team prizes.”

The Mayo Youth Tour welcomes entries from national, regional and club teams and from individuals. The race is open to cyclists between the ages of 10 and 16. .
