Holian sprints to victory in Cong.
Mayo cycling league round 4 report, with 4 groups of the road on the 7 mile course based around Cong and Clonbur, a handicap of 13 minutes separated the groups from front to back, odds on were that the scratch group would hold the winner on the night, but with some unusual tactical racing,seen riders from group 2 and a selection of riders from all the other groups managed to up set race favorites David Brennan and David O Loughlin. Yellow jersey on the night David brody Castlebar who now has scored in 3 out of the 4 races held on to the coat tails of the front break to snatch 6th on the night amid with help from his team mates.

Barry Holian from near by village Cross is only back racing 3 months after a lapse of 18 years from the bike, he is showing great form of late and looks set to return to his former glory days.
He now wears the overall yellow leaders jersey going into the final round, expect tight and furious racing from the Castlebar and Westport clubs who will be hoping to up stage the Western Lakes team at the end of a closely fought out league.
 
Round 5 takes place in Swinford on Thursday May 26th.
