In 6 days time we will know whether or not the 18 strong group of cyclists from all over Ireland have broken the time of 20hrs for the cycle from Mizen Head (Co Cork) to Malin head (Co Donegal) A distance of 582kms.
The weather is promised reasonable with light winds (South Easterly breeze promised) and most importantly dry and warm cycling conditions.
The group have trained hard for the past 26 weeks and are now chomping at the bit to get going, with a bit of luck and hopefully no accidents by 13.00hrs on Saturday morning in Malin head we will know the exact time the group completely the bid in.
The bid is in aid of Mayo Cancer care and is supported by the Lance Armstrong foundation.
