Cunga Bikes @ Revolution 34

David O Loughlin and his Cunga Bikes racing team were in action at Revolution 34 at the Manchester Velodrome this weekend.

O Loughlin who is making a return to International track racing after a year off is displaying signs of his old form with some good results thoroughout the event. 6th place in the Motor Paced Scratch ahead of none other than World Road Champion Mark Cavendish was a good start to the evening. Next up was the Australian Pursuit where O Loughlin finished 2nd and again taking some notable scalps in the form of Iljo Keisse and Magnus Backstedt. Cunga Bikes placed 4th overall for the event and lie in 4th place in the Revolution Series ahead of Team Sky and Team Rapha Condor Sharp. In the individual standings O Loughlin is in 3rd place overall behind Steve Burke of Team UK and Simon Yeats of Max Gear Racing. With only 2 rounds to go O Loughlin is on course for a podium finish in this years series and also hopes to fine tune his form with the aim of a good performance in this years World Cup events and hopefully a slot at the London 2012 Olympics.
