Coughlan 2nd In World Masters Championships

Simon Coughlan of Donamon Dynamos Cycling Club in Roscommon took a magnificent result in the World Masters Track Championships this week when he finished 2nd in the 3000m individual pursuit. Simon was narrowly beaten for the gold medal by the smallest of margins, finishing a single second behind the winner Trevor Gunderson of Canada in a time of 3:34. A great achievement for the Donamon man considering Ireland does not have an indoor cycle track so Simon has to travel to the UK for training.
