Connacht MTB league Round 3
Round 3 of the Kearney cycles.com Connacht mountain bike league took place in Knockranny Wood, Westport on Sunday last.
The turnout was not as good as expected but all the competitors enjoyed this new course set by Darren McGann, Tom Moran, and Padraic Marrey with help from Sean Carolan.
The under 12 race was a good battle with Matthew O’Donnell Covey Wheelers holding off Niall Hughes Western lakes to take the win.
Gavin Burke Innishfree was again very strong taking the under14 race from Francis Sheridan Covey Wheelers.
Brendan Scullion Western Lakes and Darragh Reidy Covey Wheelers had a close battle in The Under16 section but Scullion proved his strength on the final lap to win by 1min.
The expert section David Dowdall Dolman C.C was very strong for all 4 laps to win

Sadhbh Baxter Westcoast Wheelers took the ladies section.
